TRAY - WALTHAM 29 BROCCOLI

Broccoli microgreens, who surpass their mature counterpart in nutritional value, are full of vitamins, minerals, and protein! They make the perfect addition to any dish.

  • HEALTH

Broccoli is one of the most popular microgreens thanks to their many health benefits including high levels of vitamins A, C, and K, calcium, iron, and phosphorus!  Stem cell research shows that a component of Broccoli called sulforaphane may curb the growth of breast cancer, along with colorectal, pancreatic, lung, ovarian and stomach cancers. Eating 3-5 servings per week may reduce cancer risk by 30-40%.  Sulforaphane is also linked to promoting an anti-inflammatory response which reduces oxidative stress, a major cause of cardiac disease.  It also has been found to reduce blood glucose levels in type 2 diabetic patients.  The National Academy for Sciences has found that sulforaphane can also slow the process of aging, linking it to slowing the onset of Alzheimer’s and boosting brain functions that help to reduce symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Please note that while microgreens have many potential health benefits, it is essential to consume them as part of a balanced diet and not rely on them as the sole treatment for any medical conditions. Always consult with your primary healthcare professional before making any changes to your diet.

Storing them in a resealable bag or container with a lid works well.
