Our Story

Joel was born in Idaho where we love to grow the food we eat. Wendy was raised under the hot Arizona sun where we met, married, and started our family.  In 2011, we moved our family to Boise and back to Joel's Idaho roots.  It wasn't long before growing gardens, chickens, turkeys, dogs, and of course, our two boys all became our shared passion - along with eating good food which we always love to share with our family, friends, and neighbors.

Over the last few years and after being diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, Joel has searched for the best tasting food that also has strong health benefits. When we learned about microgreens 8 years ago, we knew he was on to something BIG. Fast forward a few years plus one "microgreen" idea later, and our business was born:  Farmer's Microgreens.

As our family continues to grow with new additions, so we too continue to grow our microgreens with care.  We know the powerful nutritional goodness these little greens can give and how needed they are in today's diet.
